GILDA’S OPEN HOUSE
Friday, September 12th
We are celebrating the conclusion of our major remodeling project this past summer. Stop by the clubhouse to see all the beautiful changes. Wine and hors d’oeuvres reception. RSVP

Cooking with Sue Czap, RD, CSO sponsored by Pluta Foundation -
Tuesday, September 16th
Cooking classes will be held monthly. In each class, the group prepares several plant based recipes using seasonal foods. Topics of discussion vary and are chosen based on participants’ interest.

Adult Support Group for Childhood Suvivors of Cancer
Thursday evening, September 18th
This is a new group designed for adults that have survived cancer from their childhood.

WORKSHOPS

Intro to Sewing & Quilting - Wednesday afternoons -Sewing & quilting classes for beginners or advanced students. Quilting expert Nancy Gay is available to show you the basics, advanced tips, and tricks for your sewing & quilting projects. We provide sewing machines & all the necessary materials.

Beginner’s Sewing - Thursday, September 4th - Linda Cirrincione will be teaching this class for those that have little to no experience sewing or working on a machine.

Euchre- Monday, September 8th & 22nd -Join us in a lively game of Euchre. We’ll even teach you how to play.

Intermediate Quilting - Thursday, September 11, 18, 25 and Saturday, September 21st- Quilting expert Linda Cirrincione will teach those who have had sewing experience. All necessary materials provided.

Book Club - Monday, September 15th- This month’s selection The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.

Knit & Crochet - Thursday, September 11th& 25th- Stitch, knit and chat as you work on that project that just never seems to get finished, or we’ll teach you how to knit or crochet (we supply the materials).

Fall Harvest Cooking Class - Friday, September 26th- Join Allie & Mary to cook lunch with the fall harvest.

FOR MEN

Gilda’s Diner - For Men Only - Saturday, September 20th - Breakfast, Newspaper & Conversation.

ART CLASSES

Open Art Room- Tuesday, September 2nd OR Monday, September 8th OR Tuesday, September 9th- The art room is open and Annette will be available to help you work on anything the muse inspires.

Acrylic Painting- Monday, September 15th - Release your inner artist & have some fun painting on canvas. We provide all the materials

Jewelry- Thursday, September 4th OR Wednesday, September 17th OR Monday September 22nd- Beginners & seasoned beaders are welcome. Annette will teach basics & advanced techniques.

Chain Necklace - Friday, September 26th - Pretty necklace made from different metal chains and spacers.

Fall Wreath- Monday, September 29 or Tuesday, September 30th - Decorate a grape vine wreath with flowers, in the colors of the season.

EXERCISE CLASSES

Yoga - Monday Afternoons - Certified Yoga instructor Julio Vazques will be teaching.

Gentle Exercise- Tuesdays - Maria Furstoss, certified personal trainer & fitness instructor is here with a gentle exercise program designed just for Gilda’s members.

Walk/Run with Maria - Thursdays - Have you been looking for a little more than just a walk? Come join Maria Furstoss, CPT for this class - outdoors of course!

Identity Theft - Friday, October 17th - Chad Merklin fromConsumer Credit Counseling will be here to give advice on protecting yourself from identity theft and what to do if it happens to you.
Dealing with Urinary Incontinence & other Prostate Issues - Tuesday, October 21st - Wendy Featherstone, PT will lecture after dinner about different ways to handle some side effects from prostate treatments.
