On Monday, June 28, Gilda's Club Rochester will host its first-ever Community Gives Day in conjunction with the Cancer Support Community and Gilda’s Club network of affiliates and hospital partners. Join us as we unite for 24 hours to collectively support all those impacted by cancer. This initiative will help provide support and services to people impacted by cancer at no cost to them—including emotional support, nutrition and healthy lifestyle guidance, education, navigation, digital resources, and more. Supporters who donate before 8 p.m. ET on June 28 will be invited to a special live virtual event that day.

How We Help

Gilda’s Club Rochester has been serving the Greater Rochester community since 1959, first as Cancer Action, Inc., and then in 2000 as Gilda’s Club. Today we serve over 5,000 people annually with over 1,000 FREE programs offered to men, women, teens and children who are affected by cancer. Our programs offer much-needed social and emotional support to those living with cancer along with their families and friends. Named for legendary Saturday Night Live comedienne, Gilda Radner, whose spirit lives on as members both give and receive love and laughter through our unique programs and events.

Become a member today to learn more about how to get and give support, because no one needs to go through cancer alone.

Gilda's Club offers services to men, women, teens and children, regardless of how cancer has touched their lives.

  • Commitment to Excellence: GCR is committed to evidenced-based practice and organizational excellence in mission delivery.
  • An Essential Part of Care: GCR believes that caring for the whole person and family is an essential part of quality cancer care and that all people affected by cancer should be made aware of and have access to psychosocial care as part of cancer treatment and survivorship.
  • Collective Wisdom and Individual Experience: GCR encourages Members to share their own experiences and expertise because it creates collective wisdom that in turn enriches the Community as a whole.
  • Empowerment through Community: GCR believes that Members can become empowered to improve their health and well-being through opportunities in a community setting in which they gain knowledge, control, and a connection to others.
  • Respectful and Inclusive: GCR is respectful and welcoming to all people touched by cancer with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Members are invited to “come as you are” in an environment that welcomes humor, honors learning and encourages meaningful exchange with others.
